53-38 – 533-mm combined-cycle torpedo, developed in 1938 on the basis of the torpedo 53-F, manufactured by the Whitehead plant in Fiume (Rijeka), Croatia. Unlike the prototype, which had four run modes, had only three. Adopted in May 1939.
