Zhumabek Beysebayev fought in the 879th regiment of the 158th rifle division. The division as part of the 39th Army was part of the Kalinin Front, then entered the 3rd Belorussian Front and participated in the Vitebsk-Orsha operation. There Zhumabek Beysebayev was seriously wounded.
