Pavel Belov

The commander of the Soviet 1st Guards Cavalry Corps of the Red Army, Lieutenant-General Pavel Belov, with his staff officers in captured German Sd.Kfz.10 half-track tractor.
Since June 1942, General Pavel Belov was appointed commander of the 61st Army of the Western Front.
Pavel Alekseevich Belov was born in 1897. In the Red Army since 1918. Participant of the Civil War in Soviet Russia. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Pavel Belov – commander of the 2nd Cavalry Corps. Hero of the Soviet Union since January 1944.
