Polish insurgents, participants in the Warsaw Uprising against the Nazis, stand near the Kubuś armored car(shushpanzer) during World War II.
The Kubuś armored car was built by the rebels in 13 days (by August 22, 1944) in a single copy on the chassis of a Chevrolet 157 truck. The armament consisted of one 7.62-mm DP machine gun and a wz.K flamethrower.
The armored car was used in the attacks on Warsaw University on August 23 and September 2, 1944.
On September 6, when retreating from the armored car, the armament and engine were removed.
In January 1945, the corps was found by units of the Red Army and the Polish Army.
Later, the Kubuś was restored and placed in the Museum of the Polish Army. Now it is in the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
