Soviet equipment destroyed on the outskirts of Mtsensk: a broken Katyusha rocket launcher BM-13 on a ZiS-6 chassis truck, a STZ-5 tractor with an anti-aircraft gun, a burnt T-34 tank. Eastern front.

These are Katyusha rocket launchers from the 9th Guards Mortar Regiment, left in Mtsensk after the retreat of the Red Army.

Soviet Katyusha rocket launcher (lowercase letters are also often found in Soviet literature) – the unofficial name that appeared during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 for barrelless field rocket artillery systems (first and foremost BM-13, and subsequently BM-8 , BM-31 and others).
