Kawasaki Ki-61Ib Hien

 

Japanese Kawasaki Ki-61Ib “Hien” fighter of the commander of the 244th air regiment of Major Teruhiko Kobayashi at the airport. Among allies was code-named “Tony”.

On the fuselage of the Kawasaki Ki-61Ib “Hien” are visible marks denoting downed enemy aircraft. Officially for T. Kobayashi five victories were acknowledged (three B-29 bombers and two F6F fighters).
