The Japanese destroyer Hayashimo from the Imperial Navy of militaristic Japan sails along the coast in the Pacific Ocean during World War II.

Hayashimo (早霜, “Early Frost“) is a Japanese Yugumo-class destroyer with a displacement of 2,500 tons.

Destroyer Hayashimo construction has begun at the Maizuru shipyard. Launched in November 1943, entered service on February 20, 1944. Participated in battles in the Philippine Sea (Mariana Islands). On November 26, 1944, off Mindoro, the Hayashimo was heavily damaged by American aircraft from the TF38 and abandoned by the crew at 12°50′ N. w. 121°21′ E. d.
