The Japanese destroyer Hagikaze sails along the coast during World War II in the Pacific theater of operations.

Hagikaze (萩風) is a Japanese Kagero-class destroyer. The name translated from Japanese is the time of the beginning of flowering clover in Japan. In military history literature, the spelling Hagikaze is common.

The Destroyer Hagikaze, construction started in 1939 at the Fujinagasta Shipyard, Osaka, Japan. Launched on June 18, 1940, entered service with the Imperial Navy on March 31, 1941. Participated in the Midway operation.
On August 7, 1943, in the Battle of Velha Bay, the Hagikaze was sunk by American Navy destroyers.
