The battleship Nagato in Yokosuka in 1946, shortly before being sent to the Bikini Atoll (Marshall Islands).
From the battleship dismantled weapons of medium caliber, one of the masts and a large number of other ship’s property.
On the Bikini Atoll, the “Nagato” battleship was used as a target ship during American nuclear tests. July 29, 1946, on the fifth day after the second nuclear explosion near the atoll, the ship turned over and sank.
