Fedor Andreevich Slisarenko, born in 1896, an active participant in four wars: the First World War, the Civil (Polish Front), the Soviet-Finnish 1939-1940 and the Great Patriotic War.
During the First World War, Fedor Slisarenko was awarded four St. George Crosses (full St. George Knight), in the Great Patriotic War – the Orders of the Patriotic War and the Red Star.
Fyodor Slisarenko was wounded seven times over the entire combat path. From his award list: “From 25 to 26 August 1944, at night, a wagon train carrying chemical property from the village of Cimishlia to the village of Troitskoye was attacked by a group of 30 German soldiers. Lieutenant Colonel Fyodor Slisarenko, accompanying the convoy of the guard, organized a defense and in the ensuing battle successfully repulsed the attack of a numerically superior enemy. The attacking group of Nazis, having lost 15 people killed, fled and disappeared into the forest. At the same time, comrade Fyodor Slisarenko personally destroyed 5 people of enemy soldiers. After that the wagon train arrived at the village of Troitskoye without loss.
