 SS-Obersharführer Friedrich Herzog SS (1886–1945) from the former guards of the Nazi concentration camp, together with his colleagues, carry a pile of dead bodies of prisoners. The Western Front of the Second World War in Europe.

When cleaning the territory of a concentration camp from corpses and burial of bodies, the Nazi-employees and SS-Obersharführer Herzog were forbidden to use gloves, despite the serious threat of typhoid fever. Because of this, 20 of the 80 camp guard members of the SS team died.
