DB-3 is a long-range bomber developed at OKB-39 under the direction of S. Ilyushin.
The first flight of the experimental BDD (TsKB-26) was carried out in the summer of 1935 by the test pilot V. Kokkinaki. In 1936, the aircraft set five world records. In the series, the aircraft received the designation TsKB-30, or DB-3.
