Young German soldiers from the Hitler Youth, armed with carbines Kar. 98A and Panzerfaust, are walking along the street of Lauban in Silesia. As a result of the German soldiers counterattacks in March 1945, two settlements of Lauban and Striegau were captured from the units of the 1st Ukrainian Front of the Red Army and passed under the control of the Wehrmacht. Nowadays, Lauban and Strigau are the Polish cities of Luban and Strzegom.
