German girl Inge, having arrived from the Third Reich to Kiev occupied by the Nazis, accompanied by a porter, goes to the hotel.
This is the first photo from the reportage “A young German girl arrived in Kiev” (“Ein junges Mädchen kommt nach Kiew”), published in the Berlin newspaper “Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung” on October 22, 1942. The heroine of the report is a 19-year-old German girl Inge, who arrived in Kiev to work in a German company (apparently, Inge is a citizen of the USSR of German origin, the so-called “Volksdeutsche”). Eight photographs of the reportage show Inge’s day in Kiev: arrival, accommodation in a hotel, shopping, a visit to the beach, lunch at a restaurant and cafe, and also the first exit to work.
