German girl Inge goes to work for a German company in Kiev. The building with columns is the former republican Central Committee of the Communist Party, and now it is the administration of the President of Ukraine.
This is the eighth photo of the German girl from the Nazi propaganda report “A Young Girl Came to Kiev” (“Ein junges Mädchen kommt nach Kiew”), published in the Berlin newspaper “Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung” on October 22, 1942. The heroine of the report is a 19-year-old German girl Inge , who came to Kiev to work in a German company (apparently, Inge is a Volksdeutsche). Eight photographs of the reportage show Inge’s day in Kiev: arrival, accommodation in a hotel, shopping, a visit to the beach, lunch at a restaurant and cafe, as well as the first exit to work.
