Anton Dostler (1891-1945) is the German Wehrmacht general, who was sentenced to death on charges of shooting March 26, 1944 15 US commandos who surrendered. The General was shot Dec. 1, 1945. The Americans rejected the arguments of the defense (lawyers recognized weight and now), that General only broadcast order from a superior command. This precedent then used at the Nuremberg trials, which are not recognized by reference to the higher command.
