Soviet-Finnish War of 1939–1940 (Winter War): Frozen Red Army soldier from the 44th Rifle Division commanded by Vinogradov.
The winter of 1939-1940 in Finland was unusually cold. In January, in some places, the temperature dropped below -40 °. Frostbite was a constant threat, part of the soldiers of the Red Army, caught in the environment, froze to death in the forest.
