French prisoner of the Mittelbau-Dora

 

A French prisoner of the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp on the floor of a barrack among dead comrades.
The French prisoner picture was taken immediately after the Allies liberated the camp. Camp
Mittelbau – Dora was a division or “sub-camp” of the notorious Nazi Buchenwald concentration camp. The camp was a labor camp, its prisoners worked, including at the Mittelwerk factory, where V-2 cruise missiles were produced.
