The French bomber Amiot 143 captured by Wehrmacht soldiers on a field in the commune of Sombernon in Burgundy during the Battle of France, World War II.
The aircraft belonged to the 2nd Air Group of the 38th Bomber Squadron of the French Air Force. The 38th Bomber Squadron was stationed near the city of Auxerre) in Burgundy.
Returning from a mission, Amiot 143 made an emergency landing on the field due to unfavorable meteorological conditions and was captured by German troops.
Next to the bomber is a German passenger car of the Hanomag Rekord brand from one of the Wehrmacht divisions.
