A German pilot marks the first aerial victories on the tail of a Focke-Wulf Fw.190A-4 of the Unteroffizier Heinz Hanke (far right) from JG1 Squadron of the Luftwaffe.
February 26, 1943 at 11:42 a.m. at an altitude of 8000 meters the Focke-Wulf Fw.190A-4 of the Unteroffizier Heinz Hanke shot down a British Lancaster bomber. The Lancaster bomber was from a British air force that bombed Wilhelmshaven city in Germany that day. The Briton fell into the water near the island of Helgoland.
