German-made Finnish fighters aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in flight during the Lapland War.
Noteworthy are the identification marks on the Finnish Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 aircraft. In September 1944, in connection with the withdrawal from the war on the side of Germany, the Finns had to remove the German tactical designations “Eastern Front” and nationality signs (Finnish swastika). They were replaced by cockades in the colors of the Finnish flag: white, blue, white.
