Fighters of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) are guarding the 1st Great Assembly of the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council.

Fighters of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) from the Levi company (Lions) guard the 1st Grand Assembly of the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council.
UPA fighters are armed with Soviet machine-guns Degtyarev (DP-27), French 7.5 mm light machine gun “Chatellerault” MAC Mle 1924/29 and German hand grenades M-24.
The picture was taken near the forest in the village of Sprina, the foot of the Vydilok mountain in Samborshchyna (Lviv region).

The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) is an armed unit of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN).
