Fairey Battle is a British single-engine all-metal light bomber. Designed in the late 1930s by Fairey Aviation.
The bomber made its first flight of Fairey Battle on March 10, 1937. Aircraft production continued from April 1937 to November 1940 at the Fairy (Stockport) and Austin Motors (Birmingham) factories. A total of 2201 aircraft were made (with prototypes).
