English women the workers prepare Infantry Tank Mark II Matilda for shipment to the USSR under the Lend-Lease contract.
The first 20 tanks of Matilda II arrived in Arkhangelsk with the sea convoy PQ-1 on October 11, 1941. By the end of 1941, 187 such tanks had arrived in the USSR. A total of 1084 Matilda II were sent to the USSR, of which 918 reached the destination point, and the rest were lost in transit during the sinking of maritime transports of convoys.
