LCA-boat

The English assault landing craft LCA (landing craft, assault) is delivering troops to the landing ship in preparation for the landing in Normandy, France. South coast of England. The boat with the tail number LCA 1377 was assigned to the military transport HMS “Prince Baudouin”.

On board the boat, servicemen of the 5th Ranger Battalion and the 58th Field Artillery Battalion of the 5th Corps of the 1st US Army, which will land in the Omaha sector, at the Dog Green site. Three officers in the bow of the boat: Lieutenant Stan Askin, Captain John Raain, and Major Richard Sullivan.
