HMCS Assiniboine

 

The damaged Canadian Assiniboine destroyer (HMCS Assiniboine) goes to the marina in Newfoundland (Canada) on August 9, 1942.
Damage to the HMCS Assiniboine was received during the battle of the destroyer with the German U-210 submarine on August 6, 1942 – the nose is bent as a result of a submarine ram; Assiniboine destroyer also fired from a 20-mm anti-aircraft gun of U-210, after which a fire broke out on the destroyer.
