The bodies of killed civilians lie on the boulevard of Taras Shevchenko in occupied Kiev. On the right is the former Industrial Academy, house No. 74 (now Victory Avenue, 8). The photo was taken 10 days after the capture of Kiev by a German military photographer Johannes Hahle, who served in the 637th company of propaganda, which was part of the 6th German army, which seized the capital of the Ukrainian SSR.
