Charles Lindbergh is the first person to fly the Atlantic Ocean alone (May 20-21, 1927 on the route New York – Paris). In 1944 – civilian adviser to the United States Army and Navy in the Pacific.
Thomas McGuire is one of the best aces of the Allies. He flew on the P-38 Lightning fighter. By the end of the war, he had 38 Japanese aircraft shot down.
