The Canadian Snowberry Corvette (HMCS Snowberry) in the port during the Second World War.

Snowberry corvette, the Board number is K166, class – Flower.
The Snowberry Corvette was built in the UK. It construction began on February 24, 1940, was launched on August 8, 1940, accepted into the Canadian navy on November 26, 1940.

The Snowberry corvette was used in the Atlantic to escort Allied naval convoys and in groups of submarine-hunting ships.
The Snowberry Corvette participated in the sinking of a German U-536 submarine.

HMCS Snowberry dismissed from the Canadian Navy on June 8, 1945 and returned to Great Britain.
