Canadian Rear Admiral Murray

 

Canadian Rear Admiral Murray (Leonard Murray) examines the damage to the Assiniboine destroyer (HMCS Assiniboine) received during the battle against the German U-210 submarine of the Nazi Kriegsmarine.
A German submarine fired at a destroyer from a 20-mm anti-aircraft gun. To the right of Rear Admiral Murray is the commander of the Assiniboine destroyer Lieutenant Commander John Stubbs (1912-1944).
