Ram Mk I

Canadian officers are posing near the medium tank Ram Mk I, designed on the basis of the American tank M3. In front of the tank is fixed a brass plate with the inscription: “The gift of citizens (towns) Kitchener and Waterloo, Ontario”.

This tank was manufactured in April 1942. In May 1942, the Sixth Armored Canadian Hussar Regiment, armed with this armored car, arrived in the UK. In October 1944, the tank was decommissioned and mothballed, and in early 1945 was finally decommissioned.

Tanks of this type never took part in hostilities, but were widely used in Canadian and British troops for educational purposes.
