Bulgaria in the period from September 1943 to February 1944 received from Germany 97 Panzer IV Ausf. G and H tanks. On the basis of this armored technique, the only Bulgarian tank brigade was created. Since September 15, 1944, the Bulgarian Tank Brigade took an active part in the battles against German troops in the territory of Serbia.
