Leichter Panzerspähwagen (2 cm), Sd.Kfz.222 – German light armored car of the 1930s, developed by Eisenwerken Weserhütte in the mid-1930s for the role of reconnaissance or staff vehicle. Serial production Sd.Kfz.222 began in 1937 and lasted until February 1944, a total of 989 armored cars of this type were produced. Sd.Kfz.222 were used by German army throughout the Second World War, 12 of them were sold to China and 17 to Bulgaria.
