The English “Stoic” submarine (HMSM Stoic) in 1943.

 “Stoic” – number P231. Type S. Construction started on June 18, 1942, launched April 9, 1943, accepted into the Royal Navy of Great Britain on June 29, 1943.

The “Stoic” submarine was used for combat operations in the Pacific. Sank 6 Japanese small fishing vessels, a landing ship, a transport vessel “Kainan Maru”, a seiner “Nanye Maru 55”, an auxiliary artillery vessel “Shoei Maru” and a coastal patrol vessel.

The “Stoic” submarine was sold in July 1950.
