The American sergeant photographs the B-24H-5-DT Liberator, heavy bomber (serial number 41-28641) of American construction, flying as part of the German KG200 bomber squadron of the Nazi Luftwaffe under tactical number A3 + KB. The B-24 Liberator bomber has a broken front landing gear.

This aircraft belonged to the American 732nd Bomber Squadron, made an emergency landing at the Luftwaffe airfield in France on February 4, 1944, after repairs it was used by the Germans for special operations, was captured by Americans in Austria in May 1945. In total, the German squadron KG200 had at least twelve captured B-17 American bombers and at least seven B-24 captured bombers.
