Checking radio communications in an American Air Force Bell P 63 Kingcobra fighter aircraft before being flown to the USSR as part of deliveries under Lend-Lease Act. The Second World War.
The Bell P 63 Kingcobra is an American fighter aircraft developed by Bell Aircraft during World War II. Based on the previous Bell P-39 Airacobra, the P-63 design incorporated suggestions from P-39 pilots and was superior to its predecessor in almost every way. The P-63 Kingcobra was not accepted for combat use by the United States Army Air Forces. However, it was used during World War II by the Soviet Air Force of the Red Army, which were also the most productive users of the P-39.
