English Avro Lancaster is a British heavy four-engine bomber used by the Royal Air Force (RAF). It was the main, along with the Halifax, heavy bomber of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War (it accounted for 3/4 of the total bomb load dropped by British aircraft during WWII).
The bomber plane was named after the small English city of Lancaster.
