Arrested Joseph Kramer, the commandant of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in shackles and under the escort of an English soldier.
Joseph Kramer, nicknamed the Belzen Beast, was convicted by an English court for war crimes and was hanged in December 1945 in the prison of the city of Hamelin, Germany.
