Portrait of a German soldier of the Nazi Wehrmacht Anton Bilgeri, who was subsequently captured from the soldiers by the Red Army.

The photo was donated by German prisoners of war Anton Bilgeri to fifteen-year-old Yaroslavl resident Alexander Nechaev.
Anton Bilgeri was captured at the Battle of Vyborg on October 20, 1944. He returned to Germany from the Stalinin’s gulag camps on May 11, 1949.
Anton Bilgeri died in 1992.
