Amphibious assault ships of LCT-class of the Allied Forces during the Invasion of Normandy coast in World War II.
The LCT-class amphibious assault ships were hit by a severe storm in the Atlantic Ocean on June 19, 1944. The photo was taken in the Omaha landing zone.

Both LCT-class the Amphibious assault ships in the foreground are owned by the British Royal IMF.
On the left, an American-built amphibious assault ships of the LCT type – tentatively, this is Act HM LCT-56 transferred to Lend-Lease (renamed LCT-2056, and then LCT (A) -2056).
