Bastogne In the second half of December 1944 the US Army 101st Airborne Division, Battle Group “B” of the the 10th Armored Division and the 463rd Field Artillery Division were surrounded by superior forces of the Wehrmacht (15 divisions, including 4 of Armoured). However, the American army were able to hold the city, receiving supplies by air and won the battle.
