American soldiers inspect the burnt German medium tank Panzer V Panther.
On July 11, 1944, a German tank unit attacked the American bridgehead at Saint-Fremond. The “Panther” tank was destroyed by a direct hit from the M10 tank destroyer. All the German tankmen were killed.
In total, in this battle, the Germans lost 10 tanks of the “Panther” and 12 medium Panzer IV tanks.
