On the plate behind the American soldier with the StG 44 assault rifle it says “The District Office of the German People’s Community in Salzburgen.” The DVG Party (Deutsche Volksgemeinschaft, German People’s Community) was founded by the Nazi regime in Lorraine, modeled after the Nazi Party.
