American maritime convoy of amphibious ships going to Normandy

American amphibious ships of US Navy such as LCI(L) cross the English Channel on the way to Normandy, to the Utah sector.
The nearest in the left convoy are LCI(L) -96 and LCI(L) -325 amphibious ships, in the right column – LCI(L) -4. Each ship has a barrage balloon to protect against attacks by German aircraft.
