Douglas C-47 Skytrain – American military transport aircraft, developed on the basis of the passenger DC-3 aircraft. The first flight was made on December 23, 1941, in total about 10,000 vehicles were built. “Skytrain” was widely used by the Allied air forces in World War II, and after its end remained in service with many countries of the world for a long time. Individual copies of the Douglas C-47 Skytrain continued to be used at the beginning of the XXI century.
