Douglas C-47 Skytrain is American military transport aircraft, developed on the basis of the passenger DC-3 aircraft. The first flight was made on December 23, 1941, in total about 10,000 vehicles were built. Douglas C-47 Skytrain was widely used by the Allied air forces in World War II, and after its end remained in service with many countries of the world for a long time. Individual copies of the Douglas C-47 Skytrain continued to be used at the beginning of the XXI century.
