PBY-5A “Catalina” is a marine patrol bomber (flying boat) of the Consolidated Company. Consolidated PBY Catalina flying boat was produced throughout the Second World War and was actively used by the Allies at the Pacific and European Theater of Military Operations. They were built in the USA and Canada in the 1930s and 1940s. In the USSR, Consolidated PBY Catalina was built under a license called GTS.
