Consolidated B-24 Liberator Little Warrior (861st Bomber Squadron of the 493rd Bomber Group, 8th Air Army) crashed on June 29, 1944 near the town of Fallersleben, Germany.

The last person who saw live “Little Warrior” (42-94812) was the side shooter Clifford Stocking from the nearby bomber Green Hornet. The photo shows the moment of fire of fuel tanks. When the plane crashed, only one of the ten crew members managed to survive, but he was killed after landing by civilians.
