Douglas A-20G bomber

 

The American Douglas A-20G bomber bombs the forest near the village of Le Molay-Littry (Le Molay-Littry, commune in the Lower Normandy region, France). The Western Front of the Second World War in Europe.
According to available information, in this forest there were German ammunition depots. The bombardment hit the village: according to witnesses, 8 civilians died; 3 bombs fell to the cemetery.

The district was liberated on 10 June 1944 by the 2nd Infantry Division of the US Army.
