American aviators inspect one of thirteen German Panther medium tanks (Panzerkampfwagen V Panther) from the Panzer-Lehr-Division of the Wehrmacht, destroyed by Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter-bombers from the 366th US Air Force Fighter Group on July 11, 944 on the road to Pont- Hebert north of Saint Lo.
